DakotaDome Improvements  | Vermillion, SD

One of South Dakota’s most iconic athletic landmarks, the USD DakotaDome is not only home to Coyote athletics, but provides the backdrop for many State high school competitions. For many SD youth, competing in “The Dome” is the highlight of their sports season.

To ensure the facility continues to support and delight high school and collegiate athletes, and their fans, the University engaged in a multi-phase improvement effort.

Phase 1 of the project involved a new outdoor practice field with lighting and synthetic turf.

Phase 2 included new permanent seating, football locker rooms, coach’s offices, meeting and film rooms, staff support spaces, and renovations to the existing restrooms. It also involved a significant upgrade to the HVAC, electrical, fire alarm, and sound systems.
